Décor

We have a traditional and classic décor at the King Alfred's Head.
Our tables are dressed for lunch or dinner with nice cutlery, linen napkins and clean white crockery.
We always have fresh flowers on the table, and lit candles in the evening.

Pictures

We have a variety of art work hanging on our walls.
We have some limited edition pictures of Jack Vettriano for your viewing pleasure, which we change every season.

Indoors

Come and relax in our large leather sofas by the open fire, or enjoy being seated for lunch or dinner in a monk's seat or stout wooden chairs and tables. We have a snug opposite the bar, so you can enjoy your drinks or a meal, while viewing the busy little market town of Wantage.

Outdoors

We have a lovely tranquil garden area with plenty of tables and a decked area for you to enjoy all year round, particularly in the summer. Our barn is host to lots of events in the summer, including barbeques and live music. The climbing vines and exterior lighting housed in kitchenware add a nice touch of ambience.
